Installation & Updates
How to Install
- Tap the download link for your device (APK, Android, iOS, Windows, or Huawei).
- On Android, if installing the APK directly, open your device Settings > Security and enable 'Install unknown apps' for your browser.
- Open the downloaded file or store page and tap Install.
- Wait for the installation to finish, then tap Open to launch Facebook.
- Log in with your existing account or tap 'Create new account' to sign up.
- Allow the requested permissions (notifications, contacts, camera) to get the full experience.
How to Update
- Open the Google Play Store, App Store, or your device's app store.
- Search for 'Facebook' or go to My Apps & Games > Updates.
- Tap 'Update' next to Facebook if a new version is available.
- For APK users, download the latest APK from the official source and install it over the existing version — your data stays intact.
- Enable 'Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi' in your store settings to keep Facebook up to date automatically.
How to Use
After installing Facebook, log in or create a free account using your phone number or email. Set up your profile with a photo, name, and basic info, then add friends by syncing contacts or searching by name. Use the bottom navigation to browse your News Feed, watch Reels and videos, check Marketplace, view notifications, and access your profile menu. Tap the '+' button to create a post, Story, or Reel, and use the search bar to find people, pages, groups, or events. Customize notifications and privacy under Settings & Privacy to control who can see your activity.
